Club d’Antibes is a luxury sporting and lifestyle brand inspired by the elegance and heritage of the French Riviera. Rooted in a blend of classic European leisure culture, après-sport energy, and quiet luxury, the brand draws heavily on the nostalgic charm of Mediterranean summers and old-world country clubs. The founder’s vision centres on creating elevated leisurewear and sporting couture that feels both youthful and refined, appealing to a modern audience who value sophistication with a relaxed, sun-washed spirit. This project set out to build a visual identity that captured that balance of heritage, femininity, and contemporary Riviera style.
The brand identity was designed around a custom calligraphy wordmark paired with a refined collection of supportive brand marks, including a crest featuring a stylised winged figure inspired by the Côte d’Azur and Provence emblems. These elements signal exclusivity, athletic elegance, and a couture-sport sensibility. A flexible suite of logo variations allows the brand to appear polished and cohesive across product labels, packaging, digital platforms, and large-scale applications. Throughout the design, subtle ornamental details, soft curves, and a sense of handcrafted calligraphy anchor the brand firmly in its old-money, French-influenced aesthetic.
Typography plays a central role in the visual system. A combination of timeless serif letterforms, a delicate calligraphic script, and a clean, utilitarian sans serif creates a sophisticated contrast. This blend mirrors the brand’s dual character: luxurious yet youthful, classic yet contemporary. The type system draws on references from luxury hotels, handwritten postcards, and heritage fashion houses, reinforcing the brand’s nostalgic French-girl chic and Riviera-inspired personality.
The colour palette brings the identity to life with deep greens, rich blues, soft coastal neutrals, and subtle sun-kissed tones. Influenced by Slim Aarons’ jet-set photography and the landscapes of Lago di Como, Antibes, and Positano, these colours reflect a world of tennis courts framed by palm trees, cliffside coastlines, and leisurely afternoons spent outdoors. This palette provides both vibrancy and restraint, allowing the brand to shift seamlessly between energetic and elegant touchpoints.
Together, the logo suite, crest system, typography, and colour palette create a brand identity that feels refined, youthful, and deeply connected to its Mediterranean heritage.
